    Interesting plum interpretation

    Smells like Japonisme in a bottle. That is, what Japanese plum evokes in a Western mind, rather than the real deal. But that's absolutely okay, it is a beautiful scent.

    Absolutely beautiful

    On me it starts off as Ceylon cinnamon with a hint of saffron running through it. As it opens up a bright woody note is added that blends beautifully with the spice, followed by a mildly sweet boozy plum in the drydown.

    This is completely different than what I would usually go for but it has become one of my favorites.

    Great

    I have never smelt the original but heard great things. I was assuming it would be in the same ball park as black orchid but it's not. It has a jammy Plumb scent with bits of spice. It's quite nice. Someone said to layer plum japonai with Tuscan leather, and having both in oil form, I can confirm it's a great mix if you want to add a more masculine touch - in my opinion
