    Powdery cloud

    I currently have an obsession of sorts with powdery/make-upy scents, and Lipstick Rose is often mentioned as such a scent so I wanted to give it a try. I did smell the original once in store and it seemed promising, although at the time my nose might have been a bit overwhelmed by having sniffed almost the entirety of the perfume aisle that day. Haha!

    Turns out this scent is not my cup of tea and I’m more of an Insolence gal for now. I do prefer my powders to be a bit less opaque and rounder with fruity freshness peaking through. I suspect OP did a wonderful job on this inspiration though, since what I’m smelling seems pretty in line with reviews I’ve read: it’s a very powdery cloud with notes of rose and violet peaking through, with strong sillage and longevity. I do recommend it if that’s your style, or if you like the original scent!

    Lipstick rose

    This perfume smells close to the original and it is really pungent on first application but doesn’t last too long (4-5 hours maybe)

    Lipstick Rose - memory lane

    Like a mischievous girlhood fantasy, this scent will put an immediate smile on your face. It's your mother's makeup drawer packed into a little bottle. The scent opens with a fancy pale blue paper box with dusting powder and the great big puff decorated with a tiny satin bow. Then comes that gorgeous red lipstick in the gold case that she only wears when going out for dinners or special occasions. Next are the fine milled soaps wrapped in something like fine origami paper and that sky blue eyeshadow.

    This is pure Breakfast at Tiffany's and you are Audrey Hepburn. Beautifully retro and so tongue in cheek.
